Electronic Policy

The forecasted demand for electronics product in India by 2020 is estimated to be around USD 400 billion. In absence of intervention, the manufacturing capacity is estimated to be only USD 104 Billion. There would be a deficit of USD 296 billion. The burden on foreign exchequer would exceed the oil bill.

Looking to challenges in front of ESDM sector Govt. of India has released Electronic Policy. To provide world-class infrastructure for attracting investments in the ESDM Sectors Central government is offering a package of incentives to attract Domestic & Global Investment into ESDM sector with Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC)

Industry is aligning there business focus from service to product development and manufacturing. Challenges before Electronic industry are low cost R&D, Low Cost manufacturing and the availability of skilled manpower.
